"People power works" says Jill Wareham as Military Road closure deferred

At its meeting on 30 March 2010, the Conservative Council Cabinet decided to defer the decision to close the Military Road, reports Lib Dem prospective MP, Jill Wareham.

Writing on the Save the Military Road Facebook page, Jill says: "I want to say a huge thank you to everyone because the 'great and good' Councillors have decided to defer the decision to close the road. People power works! They have decided that they are going to consult people - possibly because of the amount of emails Cllr Giles has had this week from you all. They are also going to get round the table with Natural England, the Environment Agency and others to see what can be done."
