Isle of Wight Liberal Democrats

Thursday 12 December 2019 sees a key election in our lifetime. It will affect our island, our country and our relationship with the rest of the world. Please get out and vote - whatever the weather!

On our lsland, we have two important votes.

First is the Council by-election for Newport West. I say "First" because it is our chance this December to get an excellent LibDem Councillor to work on our behalf. Good Luck to NIck Stuart and all local LibDems who've helped with the campaign. Make sure to vote for him.

Nationally, 12 Dec will define our future in the short-term and, possibly, longer. We certainly have a better vision of the UK at home and abroad than other parties.

As you will know, locally we have agreed to support the national initiative, Unite to Remain, which means the local party has stepped aside for this one election in exchange for other seats nationally. The Unite to Remain candidate in our consituency is Vix Lowthion of the Green Party.

We wish all Liberal Democrat candidates every success and, whatever the outcome of the election, will continue to work to build a brighter future.
