Island Lib Dems select prospective parliamentary candidates
Isle of Wight Liberal Democrats have selected Michael Lilley and Nick Stuart as their prospective parliamentary candidates for Isle of Wight East and Isle of Wight West respectively.
With his long-standing relationship with Ventnor, Ray Harrington-Vail can represent Ventnor & St. Lawrence at County Hall.
"Ventnor needs a fair deal. All too often, residents feel neglected compared to the big towns” Ray said.
Ray set up the Warmer Ventnor initiative 10 years ago, through the Footprint Trust and Ventnor Town Council. This initiative has helped a large number of Ventnor residents.
Sarah Redrup has been elected as a new Councillor in Wootton Bridge. Sarah won the by-election by more than 180 votes and secured nearly half of the vote (47.8 per cent).

Isle of Wight Liberal Democrats have selected Michael Lilley and Nick Stuart as their prospective parliamentary candidates for Isle of Wight East and Isle of Wight West respectively.
Nick Stuart has gained the Brighstone, Calbourne and Shalfleet ward for the Liberal Democrats from the Conservatives in a by-election yesterday (24 November 2022).
Wednesday, 26 May 2021, was the first meeting of the Isle of Wight Council since the elections earlier this month.
A budget amendment from the Isle of Wight Council's Liberal Democrat group once again aims to enhance local communities, boost local entrepreneurial spirit, and back initiatives that tackle the climate emergency.
